Holly Willoughby tucks into burger as Vanessa Feltz heads off on tube after NTAs

NTAs: This Morning welcomed by Joel Dommett

Holly Willoughby was seemingly ravenous as she tucked into a cheese burger on her way home from last night’s NTAs.

The 42-year-old This Morning star was still wearing a sparkling rhinestone necklace and all the finery she’d come to the event with, but she wasted no time in feeding her appetite after the show.

Holly looked famished as she enjoyed the snack while a passenger in a car, captioning her photo with: “Say (quarter pounder with) CHEESE.”

The star was inundated with supportive responses from some of her 8.4 million Instagram followers who saw the snap, with her sister @ladywilloughby quipping: “Diamonds and cheeseburgers… living the dream!”

@maryelizabethofficialmodel warned: “Don’t get it down that lovely dress. You looked fabulous. You’re all winners!”

This Morning missed out on an award, ending a 13-year winning streak for Best Daytime Show, and she discussed the “very difficult year” she’d had with the press last night, after the show was booed.

Phillip Schofield was at the centre of a scandal after news broke of his “unwise but not illegal” affair with a male colleague decades younger than him, and reports have since suggested he is unlikely ever to work in the media again.

Holly has remained resilient in the aftermath, telling reporters that she believes the show is “set to continue” and has a bright future ahead of it.

She stated that its success is due in part to the behind-the-scenes camaraderie, declaring: “We all look after each other is the honest truth.”

Meanwhile, Vanessa Feltz gave commuters a surprise when she showed up on the London Underground in a Barbie pink ballgown.

The bouffant embroidered dress trailed on the ground as she took public transport.

Fellow travellers did a double-take as the 61-year-old, who recently announced her desire to find love again after her split from Ben Ofoedu, shimmied through the station.

The star took the opportunity of an audience with the press on the red carpet to explain she felt the way she’d been portrayed on Celebs Go Dating was “unfair”, as some of her dates were “excruciating”.

Snaps of Vanessa on the train afterwards revealed that some passengers were oblivious to her, as they stared into space on the opposite seats, perhaps not recognising the This Morning star.

She perused her phone in a half-empty carriage, her long platinum blonde locks cascading around her back.

Meanwhile, Strictly pro Amy Dowden courageously attended the ceremony last night despite having just had three gruelling sessions of chemotherapy as she battles breast cancer following her diagnosis earlier in the year.

The 33-year-old star, who wore a gorgeous pale pink gown, scarcely stopped smiling on the red carpet, despite admitting that she was suffering side effects from her treatment, including a “moon face” due to steroid medication.

The colour of her outfit was intended to raise awareness for breast cancer, and she proudly joined all the other Strictly stars onstage as they claimed the award for Best Talent Show.
