Singer Charlie Puth has got engaged to his girlfriend Brooke Sansone.
The 31 year old star took to Instagram on Thursday, 7 September, to share the news after he flew to New York to propose.
In the caption, the Light Switch and Marvin Gaye singer wrote: "I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes.
"I am the happiest, best version of myself and it is all because of you Brookie. I love you endlessly forever and ever and ever."
The post included three images of the pair celebrating over pepperoni pizza, with Brooke – who works as a digital and PR co-ordinator for a design consultancy – sporting a huge, tear drop-shaped ring.
In the first picture, taken at a pizzeria called Lucali, located inn Brooklyn, they are seen drinking wine together while taking a selfie with a phone Brooke is holding.
The next is a close-up of the pizza and Brooke's ring, while the third adorably shows the pair biting into the same slice, Lady And The Tramp-style.
The comments section filled up with congratulations for the couple – singer-songwriter John Legend simply said: "Congratulations!!”
One fan said: "Oh man! This is the cutest! So so happy for the both of you," while another commented: "I am unwell screaming!!!!!!!!! The most beautiful couple – here’s to forever."
A third added: "The pizza eating will end in a kiss! Deja Vu of the spaghetti kiss -Disney’s Lady and the Tramp !!! How romantic!!! I love you too!!!!"
The couple first met when growing up together in New Jersey, but they only started dating as adults.
Their engagement comes after they were seen walking around New York's Tribeca district on Wednesday evening.
Charlie went Instagram official with Brooke back in December 2022, sharing pictures of the couple taken in a photo booth while celebrating his 31st birthday.
Charlie later spoke to radio DJ Howard Stern on his Howard Stern Show, about being in love.
He revealed how he'd fallen for someone he had a history with.
“[She’s] someone that I grew up with,” Charlie explained. He also said that it was "nice" to have someone he’s known for so long by his side while navigating his music career.
Charlie originally became known through the viral success of his song videos uploaded to YouTube.
He signed with a record label in 2011 after appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, while songwriting and producing material for other artists.
His UK hits including the No 1 single Marvin Gaye, featuring Megan Trainor, and Attention which reached number 9 in the charts.
