We're to find out if Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden's kids have talent

Buzzers at the ready… We’re about to find out if Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden’s kids have any musical talent

Britain’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden have hit their red buzzers to bring many a duff audition to an end.

So it may get very awkward indeed when little Eric Cowell, nine, and Amanda’s youngest daughter Hollie, 11, take to the BGT stage as a budding musical duo in the next series.

Ms Holden revealed that the young friends are preparing to impress their famous parents by teaming up to show off their ‘brave’ and ‘sassy’ personalities. Though the actress admits she is not sure they will be able to watch.

‘Simon and I would just be hiding behind a cushion,’ Ms Holden told The Mail on Sunday last week.

She added: ‘Considering that Eric and Hollie are such good friends, they see each other most weekends when Simon is in the country, I imagine it’ll be a double act.’

Simon or Amanda could shake off accusations of favouritism and simply choose to hit the golden buzzer to fast-track their children to the finals

Amanda’s youngest daughter Hollie, 11, will be teaming up with Simon Cowell’s son, Eric, 9, to perform together as a musical duo in the next series

Ms Holden said Eric and Hollie were ‘forever climbing trees and swinging off branches and getting up to all kinds of mischief’ when Simon and his family come over to play at their Cotswolds home.

Simon and his wife Lauren have relocated to Oxfordshire to live close to Holden and her family, after selling their £30milllion home in west London earlier this year.

Cowell, 63, recently said Eric was planning to make his television debut, adding: ‘He’s decided that he’s going to audition for Britain’s Got Talent. That is going to be total torture. I mean, of all the things I’ve ever done, this will probably be the hardest.

‘I said, because he does play drums, ‘Are you going to drum?’ and he said he wants to sing. I went, ‘Oh God no’.’

In a touching post, Amanda posted two photos of her daughter Hollie, 11, side-by-side to show how much the little girl had grown, adding in the caption: ‘Those years just flew past. Year 7 already. Our little #HRH all grown up. We couldn’t be prouder of her. Smart, sassy and funny. The most loving girl. Let’s do this Hollie’

Ms Holden, who has just released her debut collection with the fashion brand Lipsy London, said she expected former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli to return to BGT for a second year after he proved a hit with viewers last year

She said: ‘I have known Bruno for years, I’ve holidayed with him a couple of times, and he smashed it. Our ratings for BGT were the highest for a couple of years when he joined.

‘He did really, really well and he’s such a professional and super lovely. I had a lovely time with him, and we met up in LA for dinner when I was there. I see him quite a lot and love him to bits… he has known Simon forever. We all share the same friendship group.’
