Before purchasing, I read the reviews on Amazon, both good and bad, researched underwater cameras on various websites and asked friends and kinsfolk familiar with photography. I possess a Nikon D60 and a Sony DSC so I am very particular about image quality and effort the most for my money. My sister had a ravine that worked so well for a point-and-shoot so already this product fascinated me. I was very skeptical and afraid based on the bad reviews I read on Amazon about this camera, but I think those people are wrong. I took this camera to Hawaii and wet it in salt water and fresh water one after the another we went snorkeling then went back to the hotel bet several times . In my opinion, the digit drawback is that it is not as insipid as our another Cannon digital saucer and shoot cameras and is due to the lense which is not retractable. Despite this, I think that the camera is worth effort if you requirement one that is `rough and tough' as substantially as waterproof.

I bought this camera for the direct use of attractive it with me when I kayak. I had not planned on attractive some underwater pics, or modify totally submerging it into water. But, the first instance I utilised it, I dropped it right in the lake.
