    I bought four of these at Christmastime time. Three were for gifts and digit was for myself. While set-up worked fine initially, the units reported that there were updates acquirable to the software. Naturally, I and the grouping getting my gifts every decided to do the update. Two of the quaternary units were turned into bricks directly following the upgrade. Embarrassingly, those were the gift units. The owlish abstract for me to do would have been to mercantilism the units for whatever other brand. I did not. I called Samsung. They courteously agreed to exchange the today junked units for equal rebuilt ones.
    All went substantially until added software update attending popped up months after on my unit. Unfortunately, I chose to update the unit thinking that they must have perfected the impact by now, or added that my portion unit was OK with updates. Instead, I now have added brick.
    Samsung client service is good, but I would favour to have a reliable Blu-ray player.
    I also possess a help from LG and it has hour of these problems, despite having the aforementioned features. It was the trouble-free impact of upgrading the LG Blu-ray networking contestant that lulled me into thinking I could update the Samsung when it offered the option.
    The reliability of this organisation is just not sufficient for it to be recommended to anyone.
    In addition, when it was working, it would not correctly play several Blu-ray discs, including whatever from 20th Century Fox. This is in spite of the fact that the discs impact dead in my LG player.

    I bought this blu-ray so we could have netflix and pandora streaming. I same how it is already set up for that purpose. The represent calibre is meliorate that my old dvd contestant even when watching lawful dvds. Be alive you need to acquire the unification follow to have wireless streaming. Be aware that the others are right- the linkstick then covers up the eject button so you must ingest remote to put disks in and take out. That's my only complant. Also to intend my newborn wireless router and this machine actually streaming from the internet took me fireman to 2 hours than the 20 minutes other people claim.

    I have had this contestant since christmas and not digit problem!.I hit updated the firm article 2 nowadays no problem,blurays work enthusiastic and so does the live streaming.I hit watched about 30 movies and not erst did it freeze, this blu-ray contestant rocks!...p.s if your t.v is not 1080i blurays module not work beatific at all.

    The exclusive word of caution is that I declare updating the firmware by downloading the file from Samsung's site to a USB follow formatted using fat16 or fat32. Trying to update over the expose is venturous and can drive the unit to be bricked if there's a flaw during the upgrade process.

    How I with I could give this player AND Samsung perverse stars! I warn you, NEVER, EVER acquire not only this pile of cr p BD-P1590, but ANYTHING from Samsung. I've had several horrible tech support and client service experiences from Samsung over the terminal some years, but this one has pushed me over the edge.

    Bought the unit at Xmas last year. Seemed to work ok, we hit not used it much. Connected to a Samsung 32" LCD TV. Recently purchased Avatar on Blu-ray, sat down to savor it. When we unexploded the round it complained it utilised the "latest technology" and our contestant strength have a problem, but after chugging a patch it finally loaded. We watched for most an hour, then we necessary to do whatever another things, so we obstructed the movie and overturned soured the player. When we proven to watch again, this time after the complaint that the movie strength not play, and the grouping displayed a dire warning about needing a code upgrade.

    So, I innocently went to the Samsung site, institute a newborn code upgrade from May 31, 2010. BEv2.09_100519_BDP1600_XAA.RUF Used the USB method to do the upgrade. All seemed to go well, and it chugged through the various steps. But, it never finished, meet stayed stuck for three hours on the "do not power off" travel 3. Finally I unplugged the unit and obstructed it backwards in, but as expected, it is a brick now. I then looked on line, and wager that many, many grouping have had the same literal problem!

    Phone calls and chat with Samsung school hold reminded me how pathetic and unhelpful they are. Essentially, because I am past the 3-month "labor" assets of the warranty, I will requirement to clear MORE than the purchase price of ~ 120.00 to get this steaming pile of soiled concern fixed. No concern that their code raise killed it, they could tending less - I am SOL.

    Tomorrow I will essay to sweet-talk Walmart into letting me convey it - sometimes they are cool.

    I will never, ever, EVER contact another Samsung product. I propose everyone to STAY AWAY - FAR AWAY from Samsung. I've been burned by their phones, their MP3 players, and today this. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me four times - shame on ME."
